Our removable leak-resistant silicone seal
The Snacker™'s interior, removable silicone seal was designed to prevent leaks of thicker runnier foods within the lunch box. Parent's and caretaker can pack cottage cheese, yogurt, hummus, etc right in the lunch box. For super runny foods like the juice from fruits or those with water-like consistency should use the side scoops OR add a thin paper towel to the base of the compartment to pack such items.

2 Year Manufacturers Warranty
This warranty specifically covers faults in the product that have been caused by the manufacturer (The Good Kiind) and are not results of normal wear and tear or misuse by the consumer. Such faults would likely be detected when the product is used initially.
Like any other product, normal wear and tear may occur but not to the point of the product no longer being functional for day to day use.
Silicone Components
Silicone can absorb strong fragrances from soaps (dishwasher or by hand). We HIGHLY recommend using a non-fragrant dish soap for this reason when caring for your silicone (we love Unscented Company DishwasherTabs). If your silicone has absorbed some smells or fragrance, you may find your child will not like the taste and thus may not complete their lunch. We recommend testing un-eaten foods every now and then to determine if this may be why your child is not eating all of their lunch.
Getting rid of scents + fragrances in silicone
Here are a few different methods we have tested and customers have shared on how they have gotten rid of smelly kitchen silicone products:
1. Vinegar + Baking Soda Soak (1:1 ration of vinegar and water will also work)
Here what to do:

In a separate sink/bowl, fill (just a few inches deep) with very hot water and vinegar (equal parts)

Sprinkle in a teaspoon of baking soda (you should see a fizzing - if you don't add a bit more)

Mix and let the silicone soak for a few hours (overnight ideally)

Rinse and dry
You may need to repeat this a few times - depending on how strong the scent.
Here's what to do:
- Fill a pot up with 3/4 water and 1/4 white vinegar (enough that your silicone components are submerged)
- Add a table spoon of non-fragrant dish soap (optional)
- Boil for 10-15 mins
- Remove from water, rinse, and dry
Silicone Seal Falling Down
We find that with pure platinum silicone there can be a natural shrinkage from time to time. If you experience this, use both hands to 'stretch your silicone seal' all the way around, replace it into the container, and secure it along the edges, close it firmly, and re-open to ensure it's set back in tightly. Loose Latches
Over time, latches may loosen with normal use. We sell our replacement latches directly on the website. Should you ONLY need to purchase a latch replacement, reach out to customer support and we can work with you on the cost of shipping.
I have two littles and we are always on the go- hikes, play dates, you name it. These lunch boxes are great for that! They are not only plastic free but so practical as well. They are slim enough to fit in a bag with an ice pack and have good separation for snack options. I like that the silicone seal comes out for cleaning (doesn’t have a lingering odor). Highly recommend!
I discovered an easy way to get the silicone liner out, so I thought I'd share. Click on the video below to watch how I do it. Here's a written description: Open the lunch box and turn it around so that the lid is closer to you. Put all of your fingers on the silicone ridge (the part of the silicone liner that fits into the compartment to seal it), and brace your thumbs back closer to you. Push down on the lid so that it's flush with the table/counter (the lunch box will tip upward). Using ALL of your fingers so that you have leverage, bend the ridge back toward you, and the silicone seal will lift out of the lunch box! Easy! Now you can wash it, which I think is the best part of this leakproof, stainless steel lunch box!
I had ordered two of the Snackers for our kids and was so impressed with how sturdy they were. I wanted an extra so I could prep snacks ahead of time. We have other stainless lunch boxes similar to the size of the Explorer, but they are nowhere near as sturdy. So this was the perfect bundle! Or so I thought… now our kids have been arguing over who gets to take the Explorer for lunch. I’ll be looking for another sale, because they clearly see the quality as well.
This lunch box solves every problem I've ever encountered with a lunch box. There's no plastic to get scratched up so it's safer for my children, it's made of stainless steel which will last multiple years (no need to buy a new lunch box every year), the stainless steel is not nearly as heavy as some other brands of stainless steel lunch boxes, it has a silicone seal that makes it leakproof unlike some other brands of stainless steel lunch boxes, the silicone seal comes out for thorough cleaning (most other brands don't have this feature!), and it's easy to open. Both my 6-year-old and my almost-3-year-old love them. Lastly, I really wanted a stainless steel leakproof lunch box with 5 compartments because my boys like a variety of food, and this has 5 compartments. But the largest compartment is still big enough to fit a full-size sandwich. The only thing I wish it had was, as another reviewer mentioned, a little tab to pull out the silicone liner more easily. But that being said, it's not impossible to get out, and I take it out to wash it every time I wash the lunch box. I am SO excited about this lunch box. This lunch box actually makes me look forward to making my kids' lunches every day! I highly recommend it!
I like that the compartments truly stay separate without use of plastic! Wish the little containers fit in better and it was overall a bit deeper. Still better than most size wise and with some planning I can get away with just sending this box for my 7 year old daughter’s day at school. Quality of material seems good!
